Designer, retailer and stylist Patricia Field, best know for her work as a costumer on the HBO series, “Sex and The City,” is lending her quirky point of view to Crocs for a holiday fall/holiday ’15 collection.
The special-edition collection will include three House of Field styles — the Field clog, retailing at $50; Field flat at $60 and Field Flip at $40.

“My decision to collaborate with Crocs is based on my belief that its method of shoemaking is what I call, The Shoes of the Future,” said Field. “They are high-tech, low cost and highly durable. It’s a world concept for shoes. The molding process will find it’s way into many items, both apparel and non-apparel. My motto is — say good-bye to the sewing machine.”

According to Patrick Rich, global communications manager for Crocs, Niwot, Colo., “We’re excited to collaborate with visionary Patricia Field on this special limited-edition collection. She’s won Emmys and earned an Academy Award nomination for costume design, and her New York City boutique is a pop-culture landmark.”
The line is launching on August 15th and will be available in Crocs stores, Crocs.com, in addition to select retailers. A follow-up spring ’16 collection is set to hit stores in January.
Fields is one of group of designers that has worked with Crocs in the past. Among them are Mondo Guerra, a Project Runway alumni, as well as Jon Burgerman, an artist from the U.K. who Crocs began collaborating with this year on the Burger collection, a series of colorful, novelty looks.
