The Mood: 24/7 sparklers.
The Shoes: This season, creative director Edoardo Caovilla sought to round-out the evening slant of the label, which is no easy task when Swarovski crystal-crusted shoes are your brand DNA. To achieve this, he added new chunkier-heeled boots, graphic stone embellishment going up the shaft or a pearled heel version. There were also over-the-knee suede styles, with just baby block heels tricked out in the glittering stuff. Other themes in the collection included an arrow motif on t-strap stilettos and dainty lace kitten heels with larger crystal brooches at the toe.

The Verdict: While Caovilla still has a very distinct customer, spreading their wings a bit to cover a broader range of styles and occasions was a wise move. With their quality and execution, they could even take it further.
