Berluti is continuing its youthful revival. For fall ’16, the Paris-based men’s luxury brand is launching a new style, titled the “Fast Track,” in four different colorways.
The new sneaker-dress shoe hybrid made its debut on the label’s fall ’16 runway show in Paris — the last show under the artistic direction of Alessandro Sartori, who announced his departure from Berluti in February.
Inspired by the shape of classic running shoes, the “Fast Track” style will be available in two versions. A nylon and calkskin style draws influences from waterproof sport shoes, while an all-over leather style — which is treated in-house — includes broguing details. Both feature a curved sport sole with color pops.
While the “Fast Track” shoes won’t hit Berluti stores until July 15, the label’s Madison Avenue location in New York will carry it beginning June 15. The nylon style will retail for $785 and the all-over leather style starts at $900.

Sartori’s last collection for Berluti also included tattooed dress shoes in collaboration with artist Scott Campbell. Sartori left to pursue new opportunities after five years at Berluti. “I’m very proud to have had the opportunity to develop this extraordinary company and to have created a silhouette for the Berluti man,” he said. “I want to thank Antoine Arnault and Berluti for the trust they have put in me.”
Speaking exclusively to Footwear News last year, the designer also talked modernizing the 120-year-old brand while keeping its rich heritage intact. His sneaker push and sportier dress silhouettes have notably been hot buys for retailers recently.
