Christian Louboutin took New York City by storm to celebrate his newest men’s sneaker, the Astroloubi, during New York Fashion Week.
During the occasion, which was co-hosted with GQ at Jean’s at Lafayette St., Louboutin packed the restaurant with an array of actors, musicians and influencers to celebrate the basketball-inspired sneaker within his fall 2023 collection.
One of the designer’s star-studded guests included “Never Have I Ever” star Darren Barnett, who slipped on a crisp pair of black leather Louboutin Chelsea boots for the occasion. The star’s classic style served as a sharp base to his outfit: a tonal beige-gray houndstooth suit with a light check pattern layered atop a versatile black tank top.

Barnet was one of the multiple stars in attendance at the occasion, including Jake Fleming, Joey Badass and Madelyn Cline. Cline opted to slip on a set of slick black pumps with angled pointed-toe uppers and thin slingback straps for the party, finished by thin heels. The sleek pair provided a formal contrast to her sheer dark purple dress, a sleeveless style that featured allover matte velvety flowers for a romantic edge.
“Beef” star Young Manzino also ventured to Jean’s during Fashion Week, following front-row appearances at shows including Helmut Lang and Kozaburo. On this outing, the actor elevated a white T-shirt, tonal forest camouflage-printed vest and blue denim shorts with a set of the event’s titular Astroloubi sneakers. His $995 version of the round-toed style featured a matte white leather base with flat rubber soles, overlaid with paneling in hues including red, yellow, pale green and brown.
Thomas Doherty also opted to wear Astroloubi’s for the occasion, slipping on a colorway with black, white and metallic red uppers. The “Gossip Girl” star’s pair brought a shimmering base to his outfit: a smooth black suit worn atop a classic white T-shirt.
NYFW is held in New York City in September, marking the start of Fashion Month. The spring 2024 season will see a calendar of fashion shows and presentations from a range of designers, including Ralph Lauren, Christian Siriano, Proenza Schouler and more. The occasion will also include numerous parties and activations from brands like Aldo, J.Crew, MCM and more.
