Duckie Brown Collaborates With Eastland For Spring 2016 Men’s Shoes

Duckie Brown has collaborated with Eastland for its spring ’16 presentation, shown during New York Fashion Week: Men’s.

The runway footwear, created strictly for the show, offered multicolor takes on high-top laceless sneakers. The color combos in the shoes shifted throughout the collections to match different ready-to-wear looks.

“We stepped up the ante for Eastland. We’ve made it more accessible and more enjoyable for people,” said Duckie Brown co-designer Daniel Silver.

“We worked with a graffiti artist from Crown Heights to create original artwork, and sprayed the shoes different colors to go with the outfits themselves,” said co-designer Steven Cox.

For Eastland, they saw the footwear collaboration as an opportunity to widen the fashion appeal of the brand. “We’re hoping for lightning to strike,” said Danny Livington, VP of Sales for Eastland, of the collaboration. “We trust the boys and their vision.”

The footwear was made with the help of graffiti artist Mike Sclafani.

This isn’t the first shoe collaboration for Duckie Brown. In the past, it has partnered with Florsheim on its runway footwear.
