The Soundtrack: Swell by Eons Away, Wake Up by Macy Gray
The Shoes: Chukkah boots with side buckles and nailheads along the sole. Hybrid bootie pumps in black and flesh tones with oversize ribbon lacing. Oxfords in watercolor florals (with loose pants and tote to match, natch). Mesh booties with patent pointy toe capping and block heels. Evening flats with leather latticework or d’orsay Mary Jane shapes.
The Verdict: We all know how quickly shoes can date or modernize a look. Mr. Armani’s footwear has often not done his collection any favors in this department. But this season, there were clear updates that put a new pep in the step of classic house tropes.
