Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated annually from Sept. 15 to Oct.15 in the U.S. During this time, people honor the contributions and achievements of Hispanic and Latinx Americans to the culture, history and society.
Throughout the month, various events are held across the country to commemorate the significant role that Hispanics have played in shaping the U.S., while many brands release gear in honor of the month-long observance. Shoe Palace partnered with New Balance and George Esquivel to celebrate Hispanic Culture through creativity. The Esquivel team of artisans reworked and customized the New Balance 550 with a signature Esquivel finish. A very limited number of the sneakers will be made and the Esquivel team will be raffling off a limited number of the pairs, as a gift, via georgesquivel.com and Esquivel’s Instagram account, @georgeesquivel.

New Balance
New Balance is celebrating MLB All-Star Francisco Lindor during Hispanic Heritage Month. The company released the “Vintage Puerto Rico” collection, featuring three different styles of the New Balance Lindor 2, including two cleated options with either metal or TPU spiked. The collection is available at newbalance.com.
Converse
Converse released its annual “Mi Gente” collection this Friday, which reimagines the One Star Pro and the Chuck Taylor All Star. The first style got a makeover inspired by coffee grain with graphic washes over durable suede. The latter’s new version features distorted chamomile flower graphics take over the canvas, inspired by nature’s healing properties. The collection, now available at Converse.com, also includes apparel and brings back styles released in past years.
Kohl’s
Khol’s partnered with illustrator Whitney Salgado to create an apparel collection inspired by “Latine traditions, culture and vibrancy for life.” The collection features T-shirts and accessories for kids and adults, featuring colorful prints. You can shop it now at Khols.com and selected stores across the country.
Target
Target wants you to “show your Latino pride every day” with its new collection inspired by Hispanic Heritage Month. The general merchandise retailer created a family apparel collection with vibrant prints and statement T-shirts. Target also made a selection of proudly Latin products that includes everything from groceries to beauty and stationery products. You can shop now at Target.com or at selected stores.
