Wearing sneakers with a suit is a look that, often times, goes horribly wrong. Pairing any old running shoe with a tailored office look simply won’t do. The key to pulling it off? Look for clean, low-top silhouettes in solid leather or suede colorways.
Dressy men’s sneakers are a trend we’ve seen on the runways for the spring ’17 season at Neil Barrett, Oliver Spencer and Pal Zileri. Luckily, a crop of minimal sneakers is on the market right now. Common Projects, the master of clean sneaker designs, introduced its signature low-top in a fresh pink colorway.

Other sneaker hits include Axel Arigato’s suede sneaker, which has a slight platform sole. The look is cool, but still sleek enough for the office. Pierre Hardy’s laceless white style is a no-brainer. Golden Goose’s distressed low-top adds a grungy element.
