Overall the ready-to-wear felt more heavy-handed than the shoes, which are almost indiscernible from season to season. Dress shirts were spliced and had bondage-inspired straps. Trenches also had splices at the back, or a fastened strap across the front.

Derbies were given a modern spin in combinations like black and orange, dark green and black. The sandals ranged in silhouettes from classic two-strap versions to a shape that covered the whole foot. An orange ponyhair take especially fit in with that ‘quirky Marni’ look.
