The inaugural New York Fashion Week: Men’s has come to a close after four days of shows and presentations by more than 50 menswear designers. Read on for shoe highlights from the final day.
Polo Ralph Lauren
Ralph Lauren’s spring ’16 show oozed with his signature urban-meets-preppy style. Models sported everything from classic black low-top lace-up sneakers to shiny black and brown loafers to short boots. The range of styles can fit into virtually any man’s lifestyle, as evidenced by the models who walked in suits, dark jeans, white jeans and even slouchy sweatpants.
John Varvatos
Varvatos closed Fashion Week on Thursday night after showing in Milan for seven years. His collection featured tailored striped pants, jackets and vests while remaining true to the brand’s signature rock ‘n’ roll flavor. Varvatos showed the looks with boots in black, dark brown and a tarnished white version.
J. Lindeberg
A hint of the Wild West permeated the J. Lindeberg show yet the looks were appropriate for the urban man. Lindeberg showed low boots done in suede and calf hair accented with zippers and ankle buckles. They were paired with skinny pants, suede jackets and the occasional cowboy-esque hat and Western neckties.

Coach
In its attempts to push outside of the commercial bounds that come with being a heritage leather-goods brand, Coach presented an array of brightly printed sneakers and slides for spring ’16. Cheetah-print toe-caps had asymmetrical purple suede panels on the side, and some styles featured fur tongues in black or indigo.
Perry Ellis
Designer Michael Maccari’s show for Perry Ellis seemed to jump all over the place, from pants and jackets with open button-down shirts all the way to slouchy pants paired with sweaters (some wrapped around the waist) and thong sandals, which looked like an easy summer shoe option. Maccari stayed within a muted palette of blues, blacks, grays, khakis and a mustard yellow.
