Recovery footwear brand Oofos is collaborating with dancer and choreographer Emma Slater to highlight its ethos of “elevating your everyday” in a new campaign.

A dancer since the age of five, Slater is used to spending time on her feet. She has experience with ballroom, Latin and competitive dance. She appeared in the film “Mamma Mia!” and was a professional dancer on several seasons of “Dancing With the Stars.”

It was through her experience working with the wardrobe design team on the reality competition series that Slater was first acquainted with Oofos. In an official release, the dancer reflected on her initial pair of shoes from the company.

“After training so hard and being on my feet, often in massive dance heels, my feet would be so sore,” Slater said. “My first pair of OOFOS were the OOahh slides and I thought they were really beautiful. They were also so easy to wear, so soft, I could just slide my feet into them between rehearsals, camera blockings, and anything else I was doing and feel instant relief. I promise you, I never take them off!”

Slater went on to reveal that she is a fan of the Oomega collection, a platform iteration of Oofos which is available in several styles.

“I’m always getting questions and compliments when I wear Oofos,” she continued. “I love the platform sandal style, so the OOmega collection is my go-to. You can wear them with shorts, dresses or swimwear – anytime I’m walking around and want to feel good and look good, I’m in my Oofos.”

Oofos aims to offer stylish footwear that simultaneously supports active lifestyles. Featuring their OOfoam technology that’s designed to absorb impact, Oofos shoes aim to speed up the wearer’s recovery process post-performance.

The brand’s co-founder Lou Panaccione also made a statement on the brand’s collaboration with Slater.

“We are thrilled to have Emma join the OOFOS family,” Panaccione said. “Her effortless styling of our footwear exemplifies that you do not have to compromise recovery for fashion and that our range of styles can truly be used in all aspects of your life.”

The footwear brand doesn’t want to restrict itself to a single season; in January, Oofos launched the Oocoozie Thermo Mules.
