Patrick Mahomes ‘Can’t Live Without’ the Custom Adidas Sneakers Made for His Wedding With Brittany Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes has revealed the sneakers he treasures the most in a new interview.

As part of GQ Sports‘s ongoing YouTube series, Mahomes sat down to share ten items he cannot live without. Within his on-camera interview, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback revealed that his white Adidas Mahomes 1 sneakers — part of his signature line of athleisure, shoes and more with Adidas, which began in 2022 — are the most treasured shoes in his wardrobe.

The style featured round-toed uppers with stretchy fabric uppers and an exaggerated light blue rubber base, notably accented with holographic paneling, silver crystal-embellished trim and a blue crystal-covered iteration of Adidas’ signature three stripes.

“To have your own signature shoe, when you’re growing up and you’re watching and you see Jordan, see LeBron James, James Harden…not a lot of NFL players have their own signature shoe; a lot of them have cleats,” Mahomes explained. “For Adidas to give me the opportunity to have my own signature shoe, they let me completely help design the whole shoe.”

Aside from its significance to Holmes’ relationship with the brand, this particular style also held a deeper personal meaning — as he wore the set to marry wife Brittany Matthews in March 2022.

“This is actually my wedding shoe that Adidas made for me,” said Mahomes. “You can see they got the diamonds on them, really kind of stunting with the light blue, which is my wedding color. I’m sorry, everybody — these are one-of-ones, and no one else can get them.”
