Social Media Is Reacting to This Pair of Roger Vivier Flats

Roger Vivier‘s Rose’N’Roll Dorsay ballerina flats lit up Instagram this morning with a flurry of comments about their design. Specifically, readers got creative when interpreting the rose accent on the top, likening it to a specific part of the female anatomy: the vagina.

The brand promptly removed some of the comments from the post, keeping the suggestive remarks at bay. (Leave it to the internet to make something out of a decorative pink rose.)

Included in the brand’s fall 2016 collection, the suede shoes are part of its “La Vie en Rose’N’Roll styles, featured in the video below and retail for about $693. The brand’s Madison Avenue, Bal Harbor and Costa Mesa stores in the United States carry it.

Other controversies that have cropped up online this year over design include, “noose” shoes by Timberland and “homeless chic” shoes by Golden Goose.
