Who: Jessica Alba, who wore a brown leather flat-sandal version, seemed to approve from her front-row perch as she snapped many looks on her iPhone.
What: This season was no exception, with a plethora of highly detailed styles that, while advancing the label forward, were actually just inventive reconsiderations of Burch’s preppy classic codes: loafers, moccasins, slides and crisp sneakers.

Wear: The collection put an emphasis on intricate ‘70s textiles, which translated head to toe. Standouts included lace-up spectator pumps and boat shoes in Americana hues of navy and stadium green, with a stacked cylindrical heel dyed to match. Signature ballerinas were updated as bowed Mary Janes, with perforation along the toe for kicky effect.
Other clean-cut styles included pearl embellished block-heel sandals and pert ruffled kicks. Cork heels gave moccasin mules and sling backs a retro flair. Burch herself took her bow in the flora embroidered suede version, signaling her own favorite of the season. While her brand may now be a global juggernaut, no one wears Tory quite like the woman at the top.
