New York Fashion Week 2015: Street-Style Shoes We Expect To See

With New York Fashion Week‘s spring 2016 season kicking off next week, the fashion set is eagerly getting its show-goer looks in tip-top shape. And there’s no speedier way to update one’s look (and attract the lenses of street-style paparazzi) than shoes. Lots of shoes.

With that in mind, Footwear News has chosen the top styles to see and be seen in — and, most importantly these days — be snapped in while making the runway rounds in New York, London, Milan and Paris.

This season, Instagram style setters are spoiled for choices when it comes to footwear. First, you have collaboration kicks. The most sought-after currently include the Yeezy Boosts (I, II or III will do) and Pharrell’s new Supershell pack, featuring the work of various artists on the shoe’s signature cap toe. (Limited-edition sneakers are an essential — the newer and harder to come by, the better.)

Block heels, be they Chanel’s elegant slingback style in quintessential black or Tabitha Simmons’ gamine strappy round toe, are also a winning option for running around town. They offer a bit of height without sacrificing one’s ability to pound the pavement or climb six stories to check out a buzzy new designer’s warehouse presentation.

Chunky-heeled platforms are also a key Fashion Month option to have in one’s arsenal, with Saint Laurent‘s Candy disco style leading the way.
