Chloé Resort 2023 Collection

After debuting a fall ’22 collection that not only offered a new point of view on the heritage French fashion house but also restructured its collections with the goal of finding concrete climate solutions, creative director Gabriela Hearst is continuing her role as a climate warrior for the brand. In the spring (resort) ’23 collection, the designer is focusing on fusion energy as a means to her climate goals. It acts as both a nitty-gritty solution and as inspiration for the line, using star motifs that are laser cut into leather or embroidered into broderie anglaise details.

Hearst was also inspired by Joel Cohen’s “The Tragedy of Macbeth” (2021) with medieval-esque corsets and dresses evoking a knight’s undergarments. Corset stitching also runs down the back of a new boot style, the Edith.

The collection is rounded out by a circular denim project with denim legend Adriano Goldschmied (the line will use 87% recycled cotton and 13% hemp), as well as a Barbour collaboration, whose luxe practicality Hearst has infused with a gaucho touch.
