Photos: Protests Against French Government’s Pension Reform Leads to Destruction

France’s Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said 119,000 people protested against the French government’s pension reforms in Paris on March 23. Molotov cocktails and fireworks were used by rioters during the protest. The French police dispersed them using tear gas fumes that covered part of the Place de l’Opera, where yesterday’s march ended. According to Darmanin, 1,500 radicals were part of the episode. AP News reported that more than 1 million people joined the mobilization across France against Emmanuel Macron’s bill to increase the retirement age from 62 to 64.
