Tsukihoshi’s New Tabi Tabi Split-Toe Children’s Shoes To Be Released

Japanese brand Tsukihoshi will release a new collection of children’s footwear that improves conditions for better posture and more freedom for playing.

Featuring a socklike, slipper silhouette, the Tabi Tabi split-toe shoes will drop in fall-winter ’16.

The split-toe concept, which separates the big toe from the other digits, creates a similar feeling of being barefoot. It also creates favorable conditions for the body, including improved balance and stability by allowing the feet to grip the ground. The design lifts the foot’s arch naturally, which contributes to proper body posture.

Other benefits include the support of naturally aligning the foot bones, muscles and tendons.

The shoes are designed with breathable jersey cotton and come in four colors for $34.95, available at select retailers.
