Esenes’ Eyeball Mules Are Arriving This Week

Esenes is releasing its Eyeball Mules this Friday. The Justin Son-founded brand — pronounced “SNS,” which is shorthand for “sorry not sorry” — initially teased the playful style ahead of Halloween 2023.

According to the brand’s site, the quirky mules are crafted with genuine fur uppers, genuine leather footbeds and rubber treaded outsoles. Notably, the fuzzy style’s upper is adorned with “randomized” glass eyes in different colors, delivering a unique (if not a bit creepy) look. In some photos, the supple leather footbed appears to be stamped with the brand’s signature worldwide logo. However, other images posted by the brand show no such detail.

Back in October, an Instagram post teasing the slides depicted them in an assortment of colors, including bright purple and dark green. It appears the shoe will be launching in just black for now. The brand also previewed furry chocolate brown mules featuring metal spikes poking out of the toes last fall.

Retailing at $110, the eccentric slip-ons will be available for purchase via drops.esenesworldwide.com. The web store stipulates the shoe will be offered in men’s sizes 4 through 14. If you are in between sizes, the brand recommends you size up.

Brooklyn-based Justin Son debuted his whimsical streetwear brand in January 2020, dropping the “Ooze Air” in support of the Black Lives Matter movement later that year. Another noteworthy footwear drop from Esenes Worldwide is the star-covered “Creamsta,” which came a year later and takes inspiration from the Bapesta and Air Force 1. The brand subsequently introduced its “Pyro” sneakers and “Boneheads” foam clogs.
