Chinese New Year-themed releases are a favorite among sneakerheads, and Adidas is making sure the avid sneaker collector is served with a Tubular collection dedicated to the Year of the Monkey.
The collection features three renowned Tubular silhouettes: the Tubular Runner, the Tubular X and the Tubular Doom. The collection arrives Saturday. The Tubular runner will retail for $120, the Tubular X will retail for $130, and the Tubular Doom will retail for $150.
The Year of the Monkey shoes all feature a bold red upper with white outsoles, with an embossed monkey face on the heel counter.

This isn’t the first collection Adidas unveiled that is dedicated to the upcoming Chinese New Year. On Jan. 6, the Germany-based athletic brand offered basketball fans a glimpse of limited-edition Year of the Monkey colorways of two of its signature shoes – the D Rose 6 for one-time NBA MVP Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls and the D Lillard 2 for superstar Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard. Both the D Lillard 2 and D Rose 6 feature a black, red, gold and blue color palette, as well as monkey print throughout the upper.
Adidas has also been busy with its Tubular platform as of late, announcing a collaboration with New York-based retailer Kith on the Tubular Doom Primeknit, also hitting stores on Saturday. The shoes retail for $165.
