If you want to get your hands on the Adidas D Lillard 2 Tennis Edition, there’s only one place you can go: Foot Locker‘s 34th Street location in New York City.
With each iteration of his signature shoe with Adidas, Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard pays homage to different aspects of his life growing up in Oakland, Calif.
As a kid, Lillard says he would play all sorts of games on the tennis courts near his grandmother’s home. The NBA star also has a love for hip-hop, and Lillard decided to debut the shoes at his first rap show — in Portland, Ore., on July 15 (also his birthday).
“When all of my cousins and family came out onstage with me, it was like we were back on those tennis courts again,” Lillard said.
The limited-edition shoes, which retail for $105, have a felt-like fluorescent yellow upper to mirror the look of a tennis ball. The shoes are available exclusively at Foot Locker’s 34th Street location starting today.
