Adidas only announced last month that it was releasing its second signature shoe for Washington Wizards superstar guard John Wall, the J Wall 2, but iT’s quickly readying its upcoming color ways as well. Although the first colorway, the home edition, was supposed to hit stores Oct. 31, the Germany-based athletic brand announced today that it will release a special edition of the shoe on Sept. 21.
The Take on Summer edition will retail for $115.
The shoe is dedicated to Wall’s Take on Summer tour through China, which kicks off on Sept. 12. The shoe’s colorway is bold, featuring the brand’s solar orange throughout its upper in a pearl-finished tumbled leather, as well as on the outsole. Black offers contrast throughout the shoe, making appearances on the upper, outsole and laces.
The J Wall 2 features a number of the brand’s coveted technologies, including Quickframe and Adiprene+ cushioning, as well as flex grooves along the center of the shoe for traction and a 3D molded topline for stability.

The China tour, inspired by the players who hit the court at sunset throughout the summer, will start Sept. 12 in Guangzhou and end on Sept. 19 after stopping in Qingdao, Beijing and Taiwan.
“We wanted to create a shoe that helps my game and represents my style,” Wall said in a statement. “The shoe shows what I love about fashion, with loud colors and bold designs. Every part of the shoe is made to help how I play the game, but it’s also made for fans who want to stand out on the court and represent with style off it.”
