Adidas To Release US Open Pack Friday

One of tennis’ biggest tournaments of the year, the US Open, begins Monday, and it will undoubtedly have the undivided attention of the sport’s fans for two weeks. While Adidas will have the No. 1-ranked Novak Djokovic in its shoes for the tournament, the brand is also releasing shoes inspired by the US Open  that its fans can wear.

The U.S. Open pack features three pairs of shoes — a Stan Smith and two colorways of the ZX Flux — and hits stores Friday. The shoes will retail for $100 a pair.

The brand’s sponsored athletes will be wearing clothing on the court that has colored using a hand-printed dyeing process, which will also be featured on the two ZX Flux colorways in the pack. The shoes will release in a gray colorway and a red colorway, both featuring white with black bottom outsoles.

Adidas also included its iconic Stan Smith silhouette in the pack, boasting a white upper and outsole with orange felt on the heel and an orange embossed Stan Smith logo on its tongue. Orange felt also makes an appearance on the shoe’s insole, which also features white lines to mirror the design of tennis balls.
