The Air Jordan sneakers that started it all are coming back this weekend, and we’ve got all the details you need to know to buy a pair.
Ahead of the Saturday launch, Nike has confirmed that the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Banned” (aka “Bred”) will be released online exclusively through The Draw raffle on SNKRS.
This is important for a few reasons. For starters, it means that hopeful buyers will need some good fortune on their side come Saturday, as the chance to purchase the Jordan 1 “Banned” will literally come down to the luck of the draw — an effort by Nike to combat automated bots and resellers that was introduced last year.
This is also noteworthy because shoes that are raffled via The Draw are oftentimes much more limited than their standard SNKRS and nike.com counterparts, so the Jordan 1 “Banned” may not be as easy to come by as some had originally expected.
Elsewhere in Jordan 1 “Banned” news, designer The Shoe Surgeon will be releasing his own custom take on the shoe on Thursday.
