Jordan Brand was ahead of its time with sneaker storytelling, releasing the “City Series” pack of the Air Jordan 10 silhouette in 1995. This weekend, fans of the iconic shoe can pick up a New York City-inspired iteration.
The Air Jordan 10 Retro “New York” drops Saturday and will retail for $190. The men’s shoe will be available via SNKRS and the brand’s website, nike.com, starting at 10 a.m. EDT. The release will also be available in kid’s sizes.
Although the shoe boasts a simple color palette, featuring a black upper and midsole, metallic gold provides enough color to make the shoe pop. The color is featured with the stitched “NYC” on the upper and the heel tab. Metallic gold is also seen on its outsole and the shoe’s insoles.

Perhaps the most distinguished part of the shoe is the outsole, which is black and translucent dark gray with metallic god speckles. When the shoe is turned over, a list of some of NBA icon Michael Jordan’s biggest career achievements can be seen stamped into the shoe, including the years he won MVP awards and NBA Championships, scoring titles, the Rookie of the Year award, and more.
