These Air Jordans Will Be Rereleased for the First Time Since 2001

An original colorway of the Air Jordan 16 is returning to retail shelves later this month for the first time in 15 years.

The “Midnight Blue” Air Jordan 16 makes a comeback on Dec. 22 to finish off the holiday shopping season. This sneaker remains true to the original with a white leather upper, midnight navy patent leather toe cap, removable shroud overlay and translucent rubber outsole. It’s cushioned with visible Zoom Air, which was the first (and only) time the tooling was featured on an Air Jordan sneaker.

The Air Jordan 16 is in the midst of a strong retro campaign, which was led by collaborations with SoleFly and Trophy Room. It was also given a military-inspired makeover during Veterans Day, although that camouflage-laden pair remains unreleased.

The “Midnight Navy” Air Jordan 16 will be available from nike.com and select Jordan Brand retailers on Dec. 22 for $250.
