Zion Williamson is getting his own iteration of the Air Jordan 35.
Nike announced the release info for Michael Jordan‘s latest signature shoe in the forthcoming “Bayou Boys” colorway that’s designed specifically for Williamson and is inspired by the NBA team he plays for in the Bayou State, the New Orleans Pelicans.
“With a colorway inspired by the city’s character and surrounding bayou ecosystem, the resilience of life in the Mississippi delta reminds us that it’s our differences that give us our strength,” the brand wrote in its product description for the forthcoming release.
The look is executed with a black leather upper that’s paired with crackled leather overlays that connect the toe box to the heel counter. Adding to the style are neon green accents on the shoelaces as well as the “Bayou Boys” tag at the heel. Tucked within the foam midsole are large Zoom Air bags for responsiveness, an Eclipse Plate 2.0 at the midfoot for lateral stability on the court, and a gum outsole for durability.
