Andy Murray Defeats Milos Raonic At Wimbledon Men’s Final To Win Second Title

The grass is greener on Andy Murray‘s side.

The Under Armour athlete triumphed on Sunday after defeating Milos Raonic in the men’s finals tournament at Wimbledon in London with scores of 6-4, 7-6, 7-6.

The sportswear brand praised the tennis star’s spectacular 11-match winning streak on the grass leading to his Wimbledon title victory for the second time, tweeting, “The crown returns to the King. Congrats on your second #Wimbledon title, @Andy_Murray.”

The British No. 2 world-ranked tennis star upended the Canadian No. 6 seed while wearing his UA Clutchfit Pursuit sneakers.

His flexible footwear features two-way stretch synthetic material and a foam sole that supports stability.

Murray signed a four-year endorsement deal with Under Armour in late 2014 and recently debuted his tennis kit in a new campaign shot underground in London while practicing for Wimbledon.

It is the second Wimbledon title for Murray since upending Novak Djokovic in 2013.

Meanwhile, New Balance athlete Raonic is the first Canadian to ever reach a Grand Slam final. The tennis ace’s performance has resurged recently on the grass since hiring John McEnroe.

The sportswear giant showed support for its ambassador, tweeting Raonic’s comments on his path to the big matchup: “It’s magical to walk through those doors and onto center court and feel the history.”

Raonic hoped to be the first non-European to win the men’s tournament in 14 years.
