Bogs Footwear Announces Recipients Of Its Outdoor Education Program

Oregon-based Bogs Footwear has announced the recipients of its Outdoor Education program, which donates 2 percent of online sales to fulfill scholarships and grants while also helping remove financial barriers and providing kids with the opportunity to learn in the outdoors.

The company’s biannual initiative gives grant and scholarship donations to support summer camps, low-income scholarships and programs that strengthens youths’ connection with the natural world. Bogs also provides product donations to outfit students and educators in Bogs boots.

“Here at Bogs, we work and live in the outdoors and believe every kid should have the opportunity to get outside,” said David Earle, marketing manager. “Our Outdoor Education program is one way we can help foster the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts and ensure kids are connecting with their communities through nature.”

The organizations receiving this round of grants and scholarship donations include:

Hazel wood Kindergarten in Eugene, Ore.
City Growers in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Urban Ecology Center in Milwaukee
Delaney Urban Community in Aurora, Colo.

The Bogs program will reopen the application process for a second group of recipients in mid-September.
