Dallas Cowboys’ Dez Bryant Owns More Than 3,000 Air Jordans

Earlier this week, Dallas Cowboys rookies Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott made headlines after engaging in a back-and-forth sneaker roast on social media. But star Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant says that he’s actually the undisputed sneaker champ of the team’s locker room.

“Nobody has better shoe game than me, besides [Michael] Jordan himself,” Bryant told the Star-Telegram. “[My teammates] are too busy worrying about the next new thing I’m going to have on my feet. I give them something fresh. I’m not wearing a shoe after it releases.”

From the sounds of things, Bryant’s bold claim holds weight. The two-time Pro Bowler estimates that he owns between 3,000 and 5,000 pairs of sneakers, all of which are Air Jordans. The massive collection is one of many perks that comes with being a Nike-sponsored athlete, as Bryant says the brand sends him as many as 50 pairs of shoes each month.

“When it releases, I’m done with it. I get my shoes six months to a year early. I’m already in January 2017 right now,” Bryant told the Star-Telegram, elaborating on his penchant to wear kicks long before their official release dates. “I have two rooms filled up with shoes. My garage is filled up with shoes. My other garage is filled.”

According to the Star-Telegram, Bryant has plans to donate the sneakers he doesn’t wear to charity in the near future.
