Winning an NBA title last season hasn’t diminished the Golden State Warriors‘ desire to win, as the team now holds the record for the best start to a season in league history. The Stephen Curry-led squad is now 16-0 after blowing out the Kobe Bryant-led Los Angeles Lakers last night, 111-77.
Curry, wearing a white, navy and royal blue player’s edition of his latest signature shoe, the Curry Two, led all scorers with 24 points. The reigning MVP guard shot 10-of-21 from the field, including shooting 4-of-12 from three-point range. Curry added a game-high 9 assists to his offensive totals. The guard is averaging 32.1 points and 5.9 assists per game so far this season, up from his career totals of 21.4 points and 6.9 assists per game.
Following Curry in scoring was strong forward Draymond Green, who put up 18 points in the victory while wearing a blue and yellow player’s edition of the Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier IX. Anta-sponsored shooting guard Klay Thompson also had a good night scoring, dropping 11 points in 28 minutes on the floor.
