ESPN’s Russillo & Kanell Complete Jordan Spieth’s Marshmallow Trick Shot

Under Armour-sponsored golf pro Jordan Spieth performed a trick shot in front of spectators on Tuesday, hitting a ball with a marshmallow sitting on top, launching the marshmallow into the air, then catching it with his mouth. ESPN radio hosts Ryen Russillo and Danny Kanell decided they’d give the shot a try.

In a video released on the official “Russillo & Kanell” Twitter page today, both Kanell and Russillo attempted — and completed — the trick shot Wednesday, with varying degrees of success.

Kanell — a former NFL quarterback with the New York Giants, Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos — dressed like a pro on the PGA Tour (including a pair of black Adidas Tour360 Boost golf shoes) and took 14 hacks at it before completing the shot on the 15th try, throwing his club to the ground in triumphant fashion. Russillo — a veteran radio host and self-proclaimed gym rat who looks like he could out bench press anyone at ESPN — stepped up and knocked the shot out in one attempt. The longtime radio personality performed the trick shot in the Nike Air Max 90.
