Despite Russell Westbrook’s expert trolling of Kevin Durant before he and the Oklahoma City Thunder took on the Golden State Warriors, Durant showed his former teammate who’s the better baller.
Durant — wearing a yellow and blue player’s edition of his Nike Zoom KD 9 signature shoe — exploded for 39 points Thursday night at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif. The former Thunder star-turned-Warriors standout hit his scoring mark in just 31 minutes on the court, shooting 15-of-24 from the field, including nailing 7-of-11 3-pointers.

The 6-foot-9 strong forward’s performance helped Golden State earn its fourth win of the season, topping Oklahoma City 122-96.
Westbrook, who wore an “Official Photographer” shirt pregame as a shot at his former avid photographer teammate Durant, scored just 20 points in the loss. The all-star guard — wearing a black and orange iteration of the Air Jordan XXXI — hit 4-of-15 shots from the field, including knocking down 2-of-4 shots from long range. Westbrook was second in scoring for the Thunder, with Victor Oladipo putting up 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting.

Durant will take his first shots on his former Chesapeake Energy Arena home court in Oklahoma City as a member of the Warriors on Feb. 11.
