March Madness: What The Final Four Men’s Teams Are Wearing

The road to the NCAA men’s basketball championship is winding down and has been riddled with upsets. Even so, sneakerheads can’t be upset with the sneakers the four remaining teams have worn on the court throughout the tournament.

Other than outlasting the competition, the Final Four teams all have something in common: They’re all wearing Nike – or Jordan Brand – kicks. Many of the remaining players have NBA aspirations, and while some of them will make the league and some won’t, they’re all sporting signature shoes of some of the pro game’s best.

Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant’s latest signature shoe, the Nike Kobe 11, is also a frequently spotted shoe. Some of the Villanova Wildcats players are wearing Bryant’s shoes on the court, mostly in a white and navy colorway. Players are also wearing the Nike Kyrie 2, the latest signature shoe of Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving, in a white and navy color palette.

The Kyrie 2 is a popular choice in this year’s tournament, as many players suiting up for the Oklahoma Sooners are also wearing the Cavaliers star guard’s shoe, featuring a predominantly white color palette with crimson accents and Nike branding.

Many Syracuse players are going back into Nike’s vault for the shoes they’re wearing during the tournament. Some of the players, including freshman forward Tyler Lydon, are wearing the Nike Kobe 8 in an orange and white colorway.

The lone Jordan Brand-wearing team, North Carolina, is wearing some of the most celebrated shoes from arguably the greatest player to ever play in the NBA (and a Tar Heels alum): Michael Jordan. Many of the players are wearing UNC colorways of the Air Jordan XX9.
