Minnesota WNBA Players Wear Purple Shoes to Honor Prince

She’s got the look — and so do her teammates.

Minnesota Lynx guard Seimone Augustus led the pack in paying tribute to late musician Prince during the WNBA team’s home game Wednesday.

The baller hit the court in a pair of customized Kyrie 2s that featured the Grammy winner’s logo on one shoe and lyrics from his hit “1999”on the other when the Lynx played the Phoenix Mercury in St. Paul, Minn. — Prince’s hometown.

The colorways included a bubblegum purple upper and a slick gold strap.

Sylvia Fowles also honored the rock icon with her Kyrie 2 sneakers. However, her design treatments were comparatively muted. The footwear featured bold purple straps and a light blue-gray upper. Prince’s name was emblazoned along the ankle strap.

Jordan-sponsored star Maya Moore had on her new purple Air Jordan XXXIs. The upper incorporated a gradient treatment that blended a dark purple in the front with black in the back.
