OluKai and Kahala’s Collaboration Offer Aloha Friday-Inspired Footwear Collection

Hawaiian-inspired footwear company OluKai and “the original Aloha shirt” brand Kahala have teamed up on a collection of island-ready shoes and sandals.

The new collaborative offering includes a loafer, a lace-up canvas shoe and two pairs of flip-flop sandals, all featuring a classic Hawaiian design from Kahala in two different colors. They’re perfect to pair with the brand’s colorful shirts for your next vacation, a festive “Aloha Friday” day at the office, or as the weather continues to warm towards summer.

The Tradewind is an everyday men’s low-top lace-up sneaker with a lightweight rubber sole. The Kahala version features a cheery baby blue version of the surf-inspired design. The shoe is designed to be worn without socks, thanks to its breathable design, sustainable Tencel lining and removable, washable footbed.

Every OluKai shoe sold supports their Ama OluKai Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to serving island communities, supporting Hawaiian culture and traditions, and preserving the land and ocean.

Kahala, which was founded in Hawaii in 1936, currently offers quite a few clothing collabs, including with the University of Hawai’i, Helena’s Hawaiian Food and Todd Snyder, yet no other footwear ones.

The OluKai X Kahala collection will be available to purchase starting May 20.
