Rare Jordan X ‘Grimm’ Sneakers Up For Bid In OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Auction

An auction to benefit OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Ore., was launched today with four pairs of exclusive Jordan X “Grimm” sneakers up for bid.

Two pairs feature signatures from Michael Jordan and Tinker Hatfield, Nike’s vice president of creative concepts.

The rare kicks were listed for $2,000, and the other pairs started at $1,000 on eBay, with bidding to conclude on Wednesday. Proceeds go to the hospital’s Grimmster Endowment — a program that offers financial support services to children and families who need care.

“We created these shoes to capture the duality that exists in the world that the show has created and in the lives of the children being treated at OHSU Doernbecher,” Hatfield said in a statement. “The project is close to the hearts of many people at Nike, and every year it fills us with emotion to be able to do certain things to support the fundraising for the hospital and the Grimmster Endowment.”

The all-black men’s leather sneakers feature a herringbone collar lining, and the women’s version is in white with a plush fur collar lining.
