Puma Golfer Rickie Fowler Wins Deutsche Bank Championship

On Sunday, Rickie Fowler took home his third title of the summer, winning the Deutsche Bank Championship by just one stroke at the TPC Boston. With a come-from-behind victory, the Puma-sponsored golf pro edged out Sweden’s Henrik Stenson with a 3-under-par 68.

The win allowed Fowler to move up to third in the FedEx Cup standings. It also assures him a spot in the top five at the season-ending Tour Championship in Atlanta — and a chance to win its $10 million prize. This marks Fowler’s second win on the PGA Tour. He also took the Players Championship in May and the Scottish Open in July.

The Players Championship win was Fowler’s first in three years — his previous win was the Wells Fargo Championship in May 2012. He hit the course wearing a special Mother’s Day colorway of Puma’s TitanTour, a pink-and-white silhouette that boasts the brand’s temperature-regulating Outlast technology and Shapelock memory foam.

During the Deutsche Bank event, Fowler sported his signature Sunday orange Puma gear, complete with the TitanTour white-vibrant orange colorway golf shoe.

Fowler’s win didn’t come without a challenge.

Early on the back nine, Fowler trailed by three shots but sank a 40-foot putt birdie on the 14th hole to pull within one. Things took a turn for Stenson when he double-bogied on the par-3 16th, which allowed Fowler to take the lead and come out with the win two holes later.
