Rollerblade Introduces Metroblade Inline Skates for Urban Skaters

Think you can’t afford a new set of wheels? Think again.

Inline skate brand Rollerblade has launched Metroblade, a duo of new urban sneaker-inspired styles. Designed in tandem with famed professional inline skier Greg Mirzoyan, two Metroblade models — the C and GM — offer updated technology for hard-core urban inline skating and stunts.

Retailing for $349 for the C model and $399 for the GM, the lightweight skates are  targeted at intermediate-to-advanced inline skaters as well as those looking for a fun way to commute to work or school.

“This is a thrilling expansion of our high-performance urban inline skate collection, and an exciting announcement for the urban skate community as a whole,” said Stephen Charrier, co-president or Rollerblade. “Metroblades are the fastest, most versatile and stylish urban skates Rollerblades has ever produced, offering experienced skaters the opportunity to challenge themselves to new levels of agility, speed and stunts in city environments.”

The C version, available in black, features enhanced control and speed with a Hot Rod extruded aluminum frame, Supreme 80mm/85A wheels, SG9 bearings, carbon sole shell, Heel Shock Eraser footbed and Cuff Power Strap with a 45-degree Velcro Band and laces.
