Ryka Athletic Shoes & Sols Partner For 3-D Custom Insole Offering

Women’s athletic brand Ryka is giving consumers the chance to further elevate the comfort of its sneakers through an online partnership with Sols, a footwear technology company.

Ryka consumers will be able to purchase Sols’ 3-D ExoSols printed orthotics, made through Sols’ MAPP3D customization platform, for a special rate of $99 from Aug. 26 through Sept. 15.

“Today’s consumer is looking for customization and comfort,” said Deb Krivelow, SVP and GM of Ryka. “This is just the beginning of unlocking the potential around 3-D printing.”

According to Sols founder and CEO Kegan Schouwenburg, “Ryka’s approach to female biomechanics is exemplary and mirrors our own vision that no two feet are made equal. This makes them the ideal launch partner for our platform. By partnering with Ryka, we’re reducing the reliance on after-market products for customized support and ensuring a perfect fit every time.”

The Sols 3-D printed orthotics will be sold separately through the Sols iPhone app. The Ryka + Sols custom orthotics fit most of Ryka’s styles including the Vida RZX, Influence 2.5, Tenacity and Nalu. To order the insoles, consumers can download the Custom Fit iOS app and measure their feet by taking foot selfies. The MAPP3D tedchnology will then identify the key contours of the foot and translate the biomechanical data into a 3-D model. The soles are then printed in the U.S.
