Nearly one week after he debuted his new Nike KD9 sneakers, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant has already redesigned the kicks with some handwritten inspiration.
The baller wrote “have fun” on his left sneaker and “smile” on the right one when he hit the court on Saturday in Oklahoma City, Okla., for Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals against the Golden State Warriors.

Durant donned the Nike KD9 sneakers for Game 3 of the conference last Sunday.
Featuring gray preheat colorways, the KD9s are designed by Durant’s collaborator Leo Chang. The low-cut shoe uses two of the brand’s most celebrated technologies: Flyknit and Zoom Air.
Nike uses its lightweight and strong Flyknit on the upper in a honeycomb pattern that supports multidimensional movement and lateral quickness.
The heel-to-toe Zoom Air technology provides exceptional impact protection.
The footwear is scheduled for release on June 20.
