Under Armour Curry 2.5 ’73 & 9′ Drops Saturday

In the midst of the NBA Finals series between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers, Under Armour has announced the drop of another Curry 2.5 sneaker.

Honoring Stephen Curry and his Warriors’ record-setting 73-9 regular season, the Curry 2.5 “73 & 9” will be released on Saturday. The shoe, according to the brand, is inspired by Curry’s precise movements and focus under pressure. Its design — described by Under Armour as sharp and targeted — was influenced by the look of a warrior’s spearhead. The upper boasts the diamond shape of a spearhead, which also is symbolic of five teammates working forging an unbreakable bond.

The first Curry 2.5 colorway was released on May 28.

The Warriors lead the NBA Finals 3-2, with Game 6 set for Thursday in Cleveland thanks to LeBron James’ 41-point game on Monday. If the Cavaliers win Thursday to tie the series, Game 7 will take place at the Warriors’ Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif., for a Sunday night game.

The sneakers will retail for $135 on the Under Armour website, at Under Armour Brand Houses and at select U.S. retailers.

This week, images began circulating of the Curry Two Low “Chef,” which releases on Thursday, and many on social media didn’t have very favorable reviews.
