Performance athletic label Under Armour has made moves lately to make a grand entrance into the fashion sportswear market. It’s latest sneaker release, the Curry Lux, is a silhouette that’s sure to get the attention of the athleisure fan.
The Under Armour Curry Lux arrives Aug. 5 in five colorways. The limited-edition shoe will launch that day at the Manhattan location of renowned boutique Concepts, which is on Hudson Street. The mid silhouette has a retail price of $150.
The latest offering for back-to-back NBA Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry uses his first signature shoe, the Under Armour Curry One, executed with premium leather and suede.
According to the brand, the Curry Lux collection is street-fashion inspired and will feature both mid- and low-cut styles. Curry’s sleek and tailored aesthetic off the court influenced the collection, Under Armour said, and is a reflection of not only Curry but also Oakland, Calif., and the San Francisco Bay Area — visually appealing and easy to like but also hard-working and gritty.

The black leather colorway of the shoe features an entirely black upper with a white midsole and classic gum outsole. The shoe also boasts a tan leather lining.
