Adidas is turning the Harden Vol. 7 into a pumpkin, but we’re talking Halloween instead of Cinderella.
A bulbous orange heel makes James Harden’s seventh signature shoe the perfect host for a face that’s somewhere between a Jack-o’-lantern and a scarecrow. Spiral eyes, a sort-of heart-shaped nose, and a stitched mouth take over a heel that’s typically unadorned. Any confusion about whose mug is staring at you is quickly cleared up by a green pull tab sitting up top like a stem.
The shoe’s middle section appears in white while the grey toe panel takes on an imprint of skeleton toes. The outsole, as well as portions of the midsole, are then split up into sections of translucent white and orange. Rounding out this Halloween catch-all is a black collar and tongue.

Because Harden’s Adidas line typically moves on to its next model midway through the NBA season, we’re currently at the midpoint for the Harden Vol. 7 itself. The shoe boasts a hybrid Boost and Lightstrike midsole, and its quilted paneling at mid-foot is inspired puffer coats. Early, early leaks have already surfaced for the Vol. 8, and there’s a good chance Harden begins wearing the new model relatively early in the season — wherever team he may end up.
The Adidas Harden Vol. 7 “Halloween” is expected to release in October, although a firm release date hasn’t been confirmed yet. Expect a retail price of $160 and some other themed releases from Adidas to surface soon.
