Aminé’s Next New Balance Sneaker Collab Has 3 Colorways — but Only 503 Pairs Total

For his second New Balance collaboration, Aminé is once again taking on the 610 trail sneaker. One could hardly call it a rehash, though, as the shoe has been turned into a slip-on — and the number that’ll go on sale is extremely limited.

The 610S “Mini Mooz” is getting three colorways for a total of 503 pairs going on sale. Each of the three sneakers is getting its own release, with one each in Portland, New York City, and through the artist’s Club Banana website.

Continuing with Aminé‘s banana theme, the colorways take after the fruit at different levels of ripeness in tonal green, tonal yellow, and tonal brown. It isn’t just the laces and tongue that have been peeled off the normal 610 model either. This version of the silhouette sees the upper’s paneling pared down and the “N” logo removed entirely from its usual spot at midfoot. Sitting above the toe is a much smaller “N” logo on the right foot and a banana graphic embroidered onto the left.

All three sneakers come in the same box with a graphic for the entire collection, while commemorative cards and banana keychains match the respective colorways.

The green 610S “Mini Mooz” will release first this Friday, Nov. 10, in Portland with 100 pairs available on a first-come, first-served basis at Kee’s Loaded Kitchen. 100 pairs of the yellow version will drop Nov. 12 in New York City at Morgenstern’s Bananas. The brown colorway will then conclude the series Nov. 15 with 303 pairs going on sale through Aminé’s Club Banana website.

The campaign insists there won’t be any seeding for the 610S “Mini Mooz” collection, meaning anyone who wants a pair will have to rely on luck online or likely camp out for the two in-person releases. Given how prone to trouble and thus rare in-store releases are without any raffle system, it’ll be interesting to see if the launches go forward as planned.
