Bape and Adidas Made a Golf Stan Smith Sneaker With the Streetwear Brand’s Iconic Camo

Bape and Adidas have been celebrating the Japanese streetwear brand’s 30th anniversary with limited-edition releases throughout the year, and now they’re heading to the golf course together.

A golf collection from the two partners will include a course-tailored Stan Smith featuring Bape‘s iconic ABC Camo, frequently referred to as “Cloud Camo.” The Stan Smith starts with a familiar white synthetic base, with Bape’s signature print decorating the mustache and a removable kiltie lace cover. Green tongue branding sees Bape’s logo replace the face of Stan Smith on the right shoe, and the same color is used for a studded outsole tailored to the course. Mismatched branding also features on the mustache and insole, the latter of which takes on a custom golf graphic.

As signified by the the “Primegreen” mark on the insole, the Stan Smith’s upper features at least 50 percent recycled content.

The rest of the collection is composed of a windbreaker jacket, polo, trousers, glove, cap, and towel — all of which utilize Bape’s Cloud Camo, save for the glove and polo.

Bape and Adidas tapped Jalen Green, shooting guard for the Houston Rockets and Adidas athlete, for the collection’s campaign.

The arrival of the collaboration comes as the sport becomes increasingly linked with the realm of streetwear and sneakers. Just last week, a Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low retooled for golf released to much fanfare. In September, Jordan Brand also tapped Eastside Golf for a capsule that included a course-equipped Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 6.

The Adidas x Bape golf collection will release Saturday, Oct. 21, through the Adidas’ Confirmed app, Bape’s website, and select retailers. Pricing for the Stan Smith is set at $160.
