Bergdorf Goodman Unveils Swarovski Holiday Windows

Swarovski is ringing in the holidays with a series of high-end retail partnerships.

At New York’s Bergdorf Goodman, the brand — which is celebrating its 120th anniversary this year — collaborated with the department store on holiday window displays. The windows are designed around the theme “Brilliant,” meant to herald the opening next month of the store’s new jewelry salons. Unveiled last evening, the windows showcase a series of glittering, festive scenes, from “Crown Jewels” to “Crystal Ball.” Custom designs by Libertine, CD Greene and Naeem Khan are featured.

The partnership continues inside, where Bergdorf will present a pop-up shop on its seventh floor, filled with limited-edition pieces by designers such as Tanya Taylor, Edie Parker, Alice + Olivia and others, all incorporating Swarovski crystals.

At Harvey Nichols Dubai, Swarovski has staged an in-store exhibit of historical designs and costumes that utilize its crystals. The brand also teamed with the retailer on its window treatments.

For Lane Crawford’s IFC Mall location in Hong Kong, Swarovski created another exhibit — this time highlighting designs by Alexander McQueen, Iris van Herpen and Giles — that will run through Dec. 17.

On Tuesday morning in New York, Swarovski made a little more holiday sparkle with the installation of the 550-pound Swarovski Star atop Rockefeller Center’s famous Christmas tree. Swarovski’s longtime spokeswoman, model Miranda Kerr, led the ceremony.
