Cameron Brink Wears Jack Harlow’s Unreleased New Balance 1906R Sneaker While Throwing Dodgers First Pitch

WNBA rookie Cameron Brink took to the mound Monday night to throw out the first pitch for the Los Angeles Dodgers while bringing some heat on her feet.

The Los Angeles Sparks forward and no. 2 WNBA Draft pick wore Jack Harlow’s unreleased New Balance 1906R collaboration while joined by teammate Rickea Johnson. The forthcoming sneaker will mark Harlow’s first collaboration with New Balance, with which Brink has been signed with since 2023 beginning with an NIL deal to make her its first women’s basketball endorser.

Harlow has had an ambassador deal with New Balance since 2022, and the rapper performed later that year at the opening of its Track facility in Boston.

The 1906R has quickly become one of New Balance’s more popular models since its reintroduction in 2022. Originally releases sans the “R” in 2009, the 1906R made its return with slight modern updates after a spike in popularity for both the brand and 2000s running shoes, also commonly referred to as “dad shoes.” Its sole unit was also borrowed for the retooled 2002R, which preceded in becoming one of New Balance’s hottest models.

While bearing the requisite mix of suede, synthetic leather and mesh defining the trend, the 1906R stands out foremost for the integration of its “N” logo as part of the lacing system. Harlow’s version sees a purple floral print form the shoe’s base, while the same shade is used for synthetic overlays with a reflective sheen. The laces and tongue are rendered in velvet to double down on a grandma’s house kind of vibe, while the heel stabilizer and sole are rendered in forest green.

Harlow revealed his 1906R on Instagram in May, but New Balance has confirmed it will not release until the fall.
