Camper Introduces New Customizable Unisex Shoe Roku

Camper is introducing Roku, a new unisex sneaker line priding itself with untraditional features.

Roku’s functionality seeks inspiration from its name, which stands for the number six in Japanese. The new sneaker is made up of six interchangeable components, which can be sold together as an assembled shoe or separately into four different packs, offering customers the chance to customize the sneaker to their liking.

Roku’s components include a cushioned footbed, soft knitted upper, 3D sock, laces and an XL lightweight outsole, which helps reduce landfill waste.

Roku comes in a variety of colors, including black, white, khaki and red. If the sneaker is purchased in its disassembled form, customers can create up to 64 different color combinations and overall looks.

The new sneaker took up to two years to create and develop, making it the brand’s most ambitious and inventive line. “We wanted to make shoes that any Camper fan could enjoy in their very own way,” Camper’s design team stated. “It was a complex concept to develop, but it is a simple shoe to make.”

Camper is known for its customizable elements, innovation and unique looks. The brand previously released the Junction loafer, allowing customers to wear the shoe in two different ways as there are two different color options for the toe box of the shoe.

Roku will first be available for early sale exclusively online from Feb. 29 to March 5, then available via Camper stores worldwide, retailers and camper.com starting March 6.
