Canelo Alvarez put on an incredible performance in the ring Saturday night, but that wasn’t the only reason all eyes were on the Mexican boxing superstar.
During his 12-round dismantling of another one of boxing’s biggest stars, Jermell Charlo, Alvarez was outfitted in a custom Dolce & Gabbana outfit, executed in gold and purple hues. On foot, too, was something custom.
Alvarez’s boxing boots were designed by Dominic “The Shoe Surgeon” Ciambrone, which also featured purple and gold colors. The boots included “Undisputed” and “Canelo” badges stitched into the uppers, and the fighter’s “CA” logo appeared throughout the look’s fold-over collars.
Alvarez defeated Charlo via unanimous decision (118-109, 118-109, 119-108) at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. With the win, Alvarez improved his record to 60-2-2. Charlo’s record dropped to 35-2-1 with the loss.
